Credits: How Chaturji's System Works

What Are Chaturji Credits?

Credits are Chaturji's unit of AI usage. Every time you ask a question, analyze a document, generate an image, or run a task through the AI, credits are consumed from your plan's shared pool.

Think of credits as fuel, your plan comes with a tank, every AI action burns some of it, and when you run low, you can either optimize how you use them or top up your balance.

The key things to know upfront:

  • Credits are shared across all users in your workspace
  • Different actions cost different amounts
  • Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle
  • Team admins can monitor and control usage through Administrative Controls

How Are Credits Allocated by Plan?

Chaturji's team plans come with the following shared credit pools per month:

| Plan | Users | Monthly Credits | Storage | |:---------:|:--------:|:----------------:|:-------:| | Team Lite | Up to 10 | 10,000 credits | 1 GB | | Standard | Up to 20 | 40,000 credits | 4 GB | | Pro | Up to 25 | 1,00,000 credits | 25 GB |

Credits are shared, meaning all users on the plan draw from the same pool. A team of 20 on the Standard plan shares 40,000 credits, which works out to roughly 2,000 credits per person per month.

What Uses Credits, and How Much?

Not all actions cost the same. Here's a general breakdown of what draws from your credit balance:

Higher credit usage:

  • Running complex, multi-step AI tasks or long-form content generation
  • Analyzing large documents (PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets)
  • Image generation (available on Standard and Pro plans)
  • Spreadsheet analysis agent tasks

Moderate credit usage:

  • Standard chat conversations and responses
  • Summarizing or extracting key points from documents
  • Using the Prompt Library for templated tasks

Lower credit usage:

  • Short prompts and quick Q&A interactions
  • Reviewing or editing shorter text outputs

The more detailed and complex your prompt, the more processing the AI does, and the more credits it uses.

What Uses Credits Fastest?

If your team is burning through credits quickly, these are the most common reasons:

Uploading and re-analyzing the same documents repeatedly: upload files to a Room once so the AI retains context, rather than re-attaching them in every conversation.

Running image generation at scale: available on Standard and Pro plans, image generation is one of the heavier credit consumers.

Long, unstructured prompts: vague prompts often require the AI to work harder. Specific, focused prompts get better results with fewer credits spent.

Multiple users running parallel heavy tasks: on shared plans, simultaneous complex tasks can drain the pool faster than expected.

Managing Your Credit Usage

Best practices for teams:

  • Use Rooms to store uploaded files so the AI doesn't need to re-process them each session
  • Assign task types to the right plan tier, save complex analysis for users who need it most
  • Use the Prompt Library for repeatable tasks; pre-built prompts are optimized for efficiency
  • Admins can track usage through Administrative Controls and set daily usage limits per user

When to Buy More vs. Optimize Usage

Buy a Top-Up Pack when:

  • You're in a high-output sprint (a campaign launch, a major proposal, or an onboarding period)
  • Your team has genuinely grown beyond its plan's usage patterns
  • You need a short-term boost without upgrading your full plan

Chaturji Top-Up Pack: 5,000 additional credits for ₹900 + GST, valid for 60 days (requires an active plan).

Optimize first when:

  • Credits are draining, but outputs feel low; this usually signals inefficient prompting
  • A few power users are consuming most of the pool; use admin controls to rebalance
  • You're re-uploading the same files across multiple sessions. Switch to Room-based workflows

Quick Answers

Do credits expire?

Credits are tied to your billing cycle and do not roll over. Top-up credits are valid for 60 days from purchase.

Can I control how much each team member uses?

Yes. Admins can monitor and control daily usage via Administrative Controls inside your workspace settings.

What happens if we run out of credits?

AI tasks will be paused until credits are topped up or your plan renews. Admins receive alerts before the pool hits zero.

Can I upgrade mid-cycle?

Yes. Upgrading your plan increases your credit pool immediately.
