Team setup in Chaturji: Adding members and managing access

What Is Team Setup in Chaturji?

Team setup in Chaturji refers to the process of inviting members to your account, assigning roles, managing Room ownership, and controlling who can see or edit what across your workspaces. It is the foundational step that transforms Chaturji from a personal AI tool into a collaborative platform for your entire organization.

How Do You Invite Members to Chaturji?

To invite team members, follow these steps:

  1. Click the profile icon (bottom-left of the sidebar) to open Account Settings.
  2. Navigate to Accounts & Members.
  3. Click Send Invite (top-right corner of the Members page).
  4. Enter one or multiple email addresses (separate multiple addresses with commas).
  5. Alternatively, copy and share the invitation link for bulk invites — ideal for onboarding large teams at once.

Pro tip: You can enable automatic joining for anyone who signs up using your company's email domain. This removes the need to manually invite every new employee.

Once invited, members are automatically added to the Common Room — the default shared workspace visible to everyone on your account.

What Permissions and Roles Exist in Chaturji?

Chaturji uses a straightforward permission model built around Rooms:

| Role | What They Can Do | |:------:|:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:| | Admin | Invite/remove members, manage billing, configure global settings, create and manage all Rooms | | Member | Access Rooms they are invited to, create their own Rooms, collaborate on shared Canvases |

Admins are the only users who can access Admin & Settings, manage the billing plan, view credit usage, and control account-wide preferences.

What Is Room Ownership and How Does It Work?

Every Room in Chaturji has an owner, typically the person who created it. Room ownership determines:

  • Who controls the Room's privacy settings (Private vs. Public)
  • Who can upload content, set instructions, and configure Room Prompts
  • Who can invite specific members into a Private Room

Private Rooms are restricted to explicitly invited members, ideal for sensitive projects like financial reviews or HR discussions.

Public Rooms are visible to everyone in the account, best for shared resources like company policies or onboarding materials.

When you create a Room, you can name it descriptively (e.g., "Q1 Financials" or "Product Launch") and immediately configure its privacy, content, and custom AI instructions from the right sidebar.

How Do You Remove a User from Chaturji?

To remove a team member:

  1. Go to Profile Icon → Account Settings → Accounts & Members.
  2. Locate the member you want to remove.
  3. Select the option to remove them from the account.

Once removed, the user loses access to all Rooms and shared content within your Chaturji account. Their past contributions (messages, Canvas edits) may remain in the Room history visible to other members.

How Does Chaturji's Pricing Model Affect Team Access?

Unlike most AI tools that charge per user seat (typically $20–$25/user/month), Chaturji operates on a pooled-credit model. All credits are shared at the account level, meaning:

  • Heavy users and light users draw from the same shared pool.
  • You are not paying for unused per-seat licenses.
  • Teams can scale access without a linear increase in cost, up to 10× cheaper for collaborative teams.

Admins can monitor credit consumption and manage billing directly from Profile Icon → Admin & Settings → Billing.
